  1. My brand is BMW. BMW is number 15, because it is a luxury and a necessity. Automobiles are used to help people get from one place to another. The relevance is that they can be used to transport people. BMW is a consistent product, because it is a necessity, but in a luxurious way.

    1. I agree that BMW is a luxury, but disagree that it is a necessity. A car may be necessary for most people, but it is not necessary to own a BMW specifically. There are plenty of other car memberships which anyone could make there purchase from. BMW is a luxury because it is a high end type of car providing many luxuries to the driver. How is it consistent if it isn't a necessity?

  2. My brand is coke. Coca cola over the past 17 years has been on the increase going from a total revenue of 4.3 billion in 1995 to a new total of 11.04 billion in 2011. Coca cola has been able to raise prices with out losing any business because they don’t have to change any manufacturing costs because every soda uses the same equipment. From 1970 to present United States soda drinkers have doubled for women and tripled for men. The soft drink industry gets customers to drink more then 13.15 billion gallons of soda every year making it more profitable for Soda Company’s like Coca Cola. Coke owns more then ½ of the world’s beverages and this soda is very affordable for most families in the United States.

  3. Coca-Cola holds the spot as the top company in the world in terms of their brand value because of their ability to protect and differentiate its self from the rest of the highly competitive beverage market. With regards to Coke’s ability to protect their brand, they have been able to hold what is the most desirable taste of any soda in the world, they have continued their idea of hitting even the smallest markets so people around the world can have a Coke no matter what the conditions are, and they have been the only company to have their shape of bottle and appearance of their logo. These two, the bottle and logo, should not be discounted as they are two things that truly differentiate Coke from the rest and may be one of Coke’s biggest strengths in the competitive beverage market beyond just the taste of the soda. This makes it very obvious as to why they have wanted to protect these for so long. In the end no company lasts 125 years without having a great brand, and Coke is a testament to that as it holds the top valued brand in the world, thanks in part to its ability to protect and differentiate its brand from the rest.

  4. My top 100 brand is Nike. Nike is in the top 100 because of their wide variety of apparel. They continue to release top products for every sport, and also clothing and accessories. The promotion aspect of their business is what separates them from their competitors. They sponsor superstar athletes such as Lebron James, Kobe Bryant, Derek Jeter and many more. They also consistently release several outstanding commercials and incorporate them with their slogan, “Just Do It”.

  5. Disney is a key brand in the top 100 brands because the company not only demonstrates many of the factors which determine brand strength, but also proves to be one of the most successful companies in the world based on revenue and employment. Disney shows internal factors such as clarity- targeting a specific young audience, yet appeals to all ages, commitment- dedicating all of their time and ideas to the company and recognizing the influence of their brand on the everyday life of children, protection- securing their brand name, “Disney,” under protection by the law, and responsiveness- having strong leadership and a desire to constantly improve their products, parks, and image based on market changes and opportunities. Disney also demonstrates authenticity by having a profound history and understanding because it is recognized by all and their parks and movies contain distinctive qualities and characteristics. On the financial side of things, the actual brand, “Disney,” is worth over $29 billion. In 2011 alone, Disney brought in over $41 billion and, after taxes and such, had a net income of almost $5 billion. Also in 2011, their net margin was 11.8%, which is up from 9.1% in 2009. Disney also holds the record for the largest single-site employer- Walt Disney World in Orlando, FL. Disney deserves to be in the top 100 brands because its overall strength and success make it one of the most recognized, respected, and richest brands in the world.

  6. Disney is one of the top 100 brands for a few reasons including its responsiveness. Responsiveness is one of the factors used to value brands. Disney improves itself constantly which is one of the reason it is in the top 100. For example, they are going to build another theme park in Shanghai, they redesigned the California Adventure park and they are going to expand on Fantasyland . They continue to update their parks creating consistent high quality experiences.

  7. Nike qualifies as one of the top 100 brands of 2011 because of the understanding shown by the customers. Customers purchasing Nike products expect that they are receiving high quality goods. This proves that Nike’s customers have an in depth understanding of the qualities and characteristics of the company. The expectations of Nike’s customers push the company to keep up its great reputation. Because Nike exhibits this understanding principle of brand strength it is one of the top 100 brands.

    1. Budweiser is in the in the top 30 most recognized brands in the world because of its clarity red bow tie look logo. They also have an exclusive sponsorship in the NFL, which during the super bowl is watched all over the world. This year it also has also built its presence in Latin America and China, which pose as huge growth opportunities. Their brand and product have special copyrights and security denying other companies to copy the product. Finally in the U.S. market it is focusing on accelerating the growth of Bud-Light coming out with new slogans and products to promote it.

    2. I agree that Budweiser belongs in this top list of brands in the world, but maybe you should look further into what the company itself believes in and how loyal they are to their customers. Recently with the Inbev merge, they lost a large amount of loyal customers. That needs to be taken into account. But overall, just look more into what the company stands for.

  8. As one of the top 15 brands in the world, BMW has strong commitment, consistency, authenticity and presence that gives any major corporation a run for its money for the top brand in the world. BMW consistently develops high quality, luxury performance cars and other types of motorsprts to appeal to a wide variety of potential consumers. They also commit to their clients by making sure all of their desires and needs are taken care of. Not only do they produce great quality products, but they also have good customer service. 1. I believe Google earned it's spot in the top 100 because it is a leader in information technology. Not only has this company revolutionized not only the way that people search for information online, but also the way that people share documents, email, and look up videos online. On top of all this, Google made $29.3 billion in income last year along with $8.5 billion in net income. Google also creates an amazing work enviroment for it's employees. It was ranked one of the top three places to work in America last year by CNN. Overall, Google is a great company that has a lot to offer for not only it's customers, but it's employees as well.

  9. Apple is a top one hundred brand in the world because of their positive omnipresence. In just last quarter Apple sold 36.12 million products in the US alone. With iPhones, Ipods, and Ipads everywhere you look, apple products have become somewhat of a status quo in a sense as almost everyone has one so why shouldn’t I get one. Apple always comes out with the cutting edge product with top-of-the-line technology and everyone knows it and respects Apple for it. Apple products are ubiquitous and everybody agrees that their technology is the most advanced of any of their competitors and that’s why they are in the top one hundred.

  12. Disney qualifies for their spot in the top 100 brands in the world because of 3 reasons. First of all, Disney has consistently improved their products since it first came about. Second, Disney is an old brand that is still known by people around the world with no explanation needed. And last, Disney provides a variety products for all ages of people. Disney belongs where they are, if not higher up in the ranks.

    1. Mercedes-Benz

I looked at Mercedes-Benz and they are number 12 in the top 100 brands brands because of their cars great performance, styling, engineering, and safety. Mercedes-Benz also has a new roll out that equips their cars with green technologies. These things combined with a great customer loyalty are the reasons why Mercedes-Benz made it in the Brand top 100

    2. I disagree, Disney has not consistently improved their products. They have classics but their new products are falling behind. Their new characters are not as famous as classics like Mickey, and Minnie Mouse. Disney has been spreading out to new TV shows, Networks, and Products. They might deserve to be in the top 100, but towards the bottom of the list.

As long Nikes leaders such as NBA NFL MLB players (all stars) are making good plays and going to championships and the players are wearing nike people will always see nike on every sporting store. But most of nikes goods goes to the University of Oregon because the guy who created nike came from Oregon, Every year the football team gets something new... last year they get the gloves with the big O on them and this year they got super clean helmets. And with millions of likes on facebook and a millions of followers on twitter nike will be on top. Every sporting store wants to have nike on there shelves but for some business its really hard because they don’t have that kind of money and nike now is really expentive.

  14. Google is one of the best brands in the world because of the high quality standards the company sets for their business. Along with being rated the best place to work in 2012, google has many other positive advantages above other companies. One factor of good branding that stood out the most to me when looking at google, is their responsiveness. Google adapts and changes almost daily with new updates, or changes in their “google headline”. Another positive factor google possesses is great presence. Google has a lot of good talk circling about them, and consumers enjoy using their product. In the modern language “google it” has become a well-known term. That’s why Google is the best brand worldwide.

McDonalds is the number one brand because it brings in the money and obviously have faithful customers. For example, they earn over $6.2 billion dollars in quarterly revenue and more than 62 million people eat there. This show how loyal the customers are if the revenue is that substantial. Having more than 62 million people eat there and earning over $6.2 billion dollars in revenue is basically $1,000 per customer. Overall, McDonalds is number one because of its relationship with the customers that leads to a good revenue.
