    Brand: Coca Cola

    Coca Cola is the strongest brand because it manages to cover every aspect of product marketing and company involvement. Coca Cola has a fresh, fun brand that resonates well with a variety of consumers from young children to older people. An important part of the brand involves establishing a deep rooted connection with consumers, a nostalgic flare which helps consumers become "Coke" people. This is a life long allegiance to the brand. Coca Cola uses clever business models to access developing markets with innovative ideas and flavors. Receptive to cultural trends, the Coca Cola brand transforms itself in minor ways to appease different consumers and styles while still maintaining the same Coca Cola experience. A good example of the cutting edge branding that makes Coca Cola successful is their involvement with social media. Coca Cola already has millions of fans on Facebook and almost 100K followers on Twitter. While the market for Coca Cola may diminish in the future as health concerns grow, Coca Cola has already begun to adapt to the current environment by developing programs like Healthy Active Lifestyles. Despite all of their success within the business field, the Coca Cola brand still contributes to philanthropic efforts with their Coca Cola Foundation. By adhering to the consumers needs, by distancing themselves from their competition, and by the established presence of their brand, the Coca Cola brand is the strongest brand in the world.

    1. I agree with the facts on Coca-Cola and believe that it does deserve a spot in the top 100 because of the facts that were given.

      Are they doing anything to make coca-cola healthier other than diet coke, like are they using any new ingredients to help the coke lovers with concerns on their health?

    2. Coke isn't particularly changing their original recipe because that has been their staple product for years. However, the Coca Cola brand also owns Gatorade and other sodas in which they are creating products like G2, Sprite Zero, and others with less sugar and less unhealthy characteristics.

    Google is among the strongest brands because it makes its service well known. Google shows strong commitment in their service by constantly changing their service to make it appealing and easily assesible for the consumers. Special occasion days they put the time and effort to make the Google sign animated and something to remember. Not only is google a search engine anymore but it has increased its company to also a social media. The extra time and effort Google puts in to their company to set their brand from other competitors.

      I think that you're %100 right. Google is very good at adapting their service to new technologies and working with that technology to bring a very good top notch service to the people. Google is a very active service and it's in my opinion that people like using it because there's very little bugs in their engine and there's constantly people monitoring Google to ensure that it can always work the way that it's supposed to. I've heard that Google+ is pretty cool, but i have yet to escape from twitter so i couldn't back that up with first hand experience. It's pretty tight that a company that started off as a simple search engine has grown into one of the most profitable companies in the world.

"The company lives and it's brand and over all equity of happiness comes through at every touch point. It continues to receive enormous exposure through top tier sponsor ships with popular events like the FIFA World Cup". This company has remained at the top because they consistently meet the customers wants and needs and not to mention world wide advertisements and coverage. Coca-Cola will continue to be at the top if they continue using their current strategy.

    Apple is one of the strongest brands today because of their responsiveness to their customers needs and wants. Apple reforms their products to conform to market changes and they take advantage of opportunities, while still producing the easy-to-use Apple products that everyone can familiarize themselves with. An example of this is how Apple changed the software on their iPhones and Computers to make them more compatible with business environments, broadening their market while still keeping old customers loyal. Overall, Apple is one of the strongest brands in the world, because people can trust them to create fun, easy-to-use, and innovative technology.

    The well-known company, Apple, is among the 2010 top 100 brands because they focus on the internal factor of responsiveness. The idea of responsiveness is responding to market change, evolving and renewing which Apple has illustrated. Not only has Apple designed and marketed consumer electronics, computer software and personal computers but they also have the best-known hardware products including the Macintosh line of the I-pad, I-pod and I-phone. Through excessive amounts of promotion, trend watching and pleasing customers the Apple Company has grown rapidly. The great thing about Apple is that they are continuously coming out with new models and new versions of products to meet their customer’s needs and wants. Overall Apple utilizes marketing strategies to draw in more customers and expand their success as a company.

    2. Apple is going to use the internal factor of commitment (time, influence and investment to brand). By using commitment that will show exactly how loyal they are as a company. Apple will also use the external factor of relevance (fits with customers needs and wants). They can analyze their demographics (lifestyle) and geographics (location) to make sure they keep customers and gain more customers. The location will be essential as well as appealing to specific lifestyles.

    Apple is by far one of the strongest brands because of their well known products and new ideas. Apples has done a great job at promoting their products to the point where even if you don't personally own a Apple product you know someone who does. Some find the constantly changing technology annoying, but Apples new ideas have been shaping the industries they are involved in. Through customer profiling and trend watching they have been able to come out with new, top of the line products that everyone wants to own. Even though it seems like Apple has only been in the market for a short time, Apple will continue to satisfy customers and keep them coming back for the next big product.

      I think that the weaknesses Apple undergoes is its durability of its products, and constant new ideas. Almost everyone who owns a Iphone will at some point have a cracked screen. Their new ideas can get annoying when you buy the next new product and 4 months down the road a newer version comes out.

  10. I think the reason why Nintendo is in the top 100 brands in the world is because of all the systems that have made since 1985. Nintendo has been making systems and games for years and many people don’t know the history of Nintendo. Nintendo’s best franchise is Mario and when a Mario game comes out everyone buys the new games no matter what. Mario’s best games are the main games and the Mario kart games. They are other franchises that Nintendo has like, the Kirby franchise, the Pokemon games and many others. The Wii and the Nintendo DS changed how people can play games. The DS lets you play with a stylus to play games but there some games that don’t use the stylus. The DS was the first Nintendo system to have online play. The Wii uses motion controls for some games and also has some Wi-fi games. If you have wi-fi for your Wii, you have download Nintendo classics some Nintendo’s older systems and systems that Nintendo had a console wars with like the Sega Genesis. Nintendo comes up with new ideas for systems every five to six years. I think Nintendo has done a great job for making great systems and games. I do think that Nintendo’s older consoles helped Nintendo to make where they are now.

    Brand: McDonalds

    Due to McDonald’s relevance, the brand continues to flourish and stay in the top 100 brands in the world. Mcdonald’s store franchises can almost be found in every country around the world. The geographic locations span from the United states all the way to Japan, and many countries in between. In the United States one could find a McDonalds within every few miles. With a growing number of stores, costumers can buy McDonald’s products easily and quickly. Overall this satisfies the customers needs and wants because people want to take the easy way, and be efficient. In order to also satisfy the costumer, McDonald’s prices and deals relate to demographics. They have the dollar menu, and inexpensive items to attract people of all incomes to their brand. The play-grounds are a major attraction to parents of young kids as well. Overall McDonalds does a great job of satisfy the customer, and being very relevant to their the needs and wants of their customers. When a company can target their market perfectly, their brand will strive and become one of the top 100 brands in the world.

    Apple is among the top 10 brands because of their quickness to come out with new technology. Apple is always on the cutting edge of electronics and is always on top of their game when it comes to customers needs and wants. Apple was one of the first to come out with a touch screen media player, and has not stopped improving since. The company knows that customers always want the newest, coolest, and most technologically advanced thing they can possibly get, so Apple responds to that as quickly as possible. Apple also comes out with a variety of features that have never been seen before, such as Siri. These advances make people want to switch from previous companies they have trusted, over to Apple to get such technology. Apple also has a great amount of trust and loyalty within their customer pool. Many people have named themselves as "mac people" and will continue to stay with the company. Apple is a very successful business thanks to consumer's trust and their quickness to respond to demands.

      There are many reasons why Coca-Cola has been the top company in the world for as many years as it has been around. One thing people like is the consistency that Coke has, for example this year it will be celebrating its 125th anniversary. Coca-Cola donates a ton of money to numerous amount of organizations all around the world for many different causes. Recently they had PlantBottle which was adopted by Heinz and it was made of recycled material. Its main purpose is to sell beverages but it also owns many different businesses. Coca- Cola really is a timeless company everybody knows about it. If someone thinks of soda the first thing that usually comes to their mind is Coke. As i said Coke is a world wide known business that is popular everywhere. On average everyday about 1.7 billion serving of coke are consumed. It adjusts to the market really well, for example just recently Coca-Cola was the largest sponsor of the World Cup which is one of if not the largest event in sports in the world. People have high expectations for Coke and Coke usually delivers. Some companies try to make off-brand Coke but its not the same it is very easy for people to distinguish Coke from any other brand of soda. Coke has been using the same recipe for many years. That's why they have been successful for so long.

I also agree that many people are now converting over to Apple because the Apple Company is in deed very trustworthy and loyal. The advanced technology that Apple has made available does draw in more and more people everyday which is why they are so successful and will continue to succeed. Does Apple ever struggle with the external factor authenticity (internal truth, expectations)? Do they have trouble keeping customers as new more expensive products come out or have they mastered keeping their customers? Basically are people's expectations too high for Apple?

    5. I think that Apple can keep their customers very easily. People who have bought from Apple in the past have a certain loyalty to the company. Customers know that they prefer Apple to PCs and will continue to buy from Apple. Even as prices increase, most people will still stay with the company because they know that Apple can meet their demands. Apple has done a very good job of keeping the bar high, but always meeting it. Yes, expectations are very high for Apple, but they always seem to go above and beyond what you would expect.

    Starbucks is a very good company for many reasons. Their employees are very knowledgeable of their products, making them very efficient at selling them. Their locations are very practical being just a couple a blocks away from almost anywhere. They sell almost every type of coffee drink somebody could possibly want. There prices can be pretty high, but they offer quick service and sell top notch products. They also sell many breakfast snacks which are small but filling, the perfect meal for the rushed business person. In my opinion, this is why Starbucks is the dominant coffee company in America.

    1. Nike is the main promoter of the entire sports entertainment market. From the start of the company to now they have developed products that benefit every sport known and the people who play them. They take the biggest players of each sport during the current time and have them sponsor their clothing, shoes, and sportswear. This company started in 1963 when the first shoes “Tiger shoes” that ended up $8000 worth of shoes by the end of 1964. In 1971 the well known swoosh label was made that is very well known in today’s world. In the 70’s Nike has went from $10,000,000 to over $270,000,000 in sales. They have an undeniable success in issuing products to the public for consumer consumption that still increases today. Nike sponsors more teams nationwide than any other company. They deserve to be in the top 100 rated companies in the world and number one for their specific market.

    4. as a company they need to stay frequently known to the public for all future generation athletes to be aware of their products. As long as sports are being sponsored by very famous athletes they will bring in business from those who idolizes celebrities and are heavenly influences by their choices. looking back at the history of Nike they can see what has had the most and least success to know what to do in the future to keep business going. Rather it's improving a product that has not sold very well or focusing on the major selling products finding some way to alter them and sell them over again.

  14. Coca-Cola is one of the top 100 brands for the simple fact that it has reputation. The appeal attaches to elder people that recognize the old style and it stimulates those past times. The commercials produced also gain attention to many's attention because of the polar bears used in them. These are icons that show that character they can think of when they see coke or hear it's name. The fact that their is a lot of coca-cola merchandise old and new. Collectors tend to be anyone growing up in the period coke started to now. So the icon itself provides the likeness in which people will relate, and the old merchandise are one of the few most wanted antiques today.

    1. My Statement: I agree that Coca-Cola does appeal to many ages, because the old fashion style intrigues the older age, yet the new flavors attracts younger drinkers. The polar bear is also known in a way as the Coca-Cola mascot, and as a customer we do relate the polar bear to Coke.

    2. Appeal is everything to a brand, if successful the company could gain enough popularity that people end up just buying it because it's well known instead of for the taste. The presence of coca-cola's red and white logo appeals to customers more than anything. The old school logo brings back memories to people use to the brand, this draws in that emotional appeal which is very important, old advertisement had people happy and joyous provoking a feeling of a good time and comfort. The polar bear mascot also has this effect when ads show them playing or doing something humorous, thus making people happy/smile. Overall coca-cola has alot to do with emotional appeal and the recognition by a majority of the population.

    Looking at the Top Companies of 2012, I noticed number 11 was Toyota and I could not agree more since they have a strong responsiveness. Toyota makes a variety of different cars and is constantly changing and adapting to whatever new trend markets favor. Recently Toyota had to recall their version of the Honda due to unsafe brake problems. Although this was a huge problem for Toyota they were able to not only fix the problem but make it more advanced and reliable. The fact that Toyota was able to overcome this and remain in the Top 20 brands of the world, shows that they definitely deserve to be there.

    1. I couldn't agree more, Toyota seems to keep up with renovation and that is important in the eyes of the consumers. Almost any company runs in to bad spots or screws up, but the mistake isn't as important. Reaction outweighs that fact, how well they fix their problem and how fast both factor in this situation. Toyota is also one of many companies jumping on improvement by being green. The Toyota Prius came out and made a big impact being one of the few energy efficient and hybrid cars available on the market. So the appeal to toyota is the fact of how they run the company and being one of the top companies providing new ways to be more green and help the green movement. Therefor toyota doesn't only deserve to be a well known brand but also works hard to do so.

    2. I am glad you agree. I believe that Toyotas popularity has been steady over the years. They have always been a well respected manufacturer with a variety of different cars that are all very well made and reliable. Also looking at the Top 100 Companies list from the past years shows that Toyota's popularity has stayed fairly level over the years. Toyota's are great cars and their place in the market is very well maintained and I don't see their popularity decreasing anytime soon.

With Apple's use of promotion they are able to promote their products and reach a wide variety of consumers all across the globe.     4. In response to Bryant.. Apple uses tactics such as promoting their product with tv commercial ads, internet ads and in magazines. In these promotions, Apple is showing people from young to old of all ethnicities, using their products in their everyday lives to show that anyone can use them. Showing that almost anyone can use their products draws interest to more consumers. This is one of Apple's creative tactics they use in order to get customers in their stores.

    Due to the Apples new products that they come out with so often their company has been one of the most sucssesful companies we have today. There company comes out with phones, computers that are constantly improving in technology. Apple's makes products for other companies to buy and is resulted in a very good way.     Due to the hip-hop and r&b industry gucci has made a huge stride in the branding history. There are many artist that advertise gucci by saying it in their lyric or just wearing the product in their video. If a fan sees their favorite artist wearing or singing about gucci they will think that's the new style and go out and get that product. Gucci will continue to make large strides if this continues, that's why i think they should be at a top 100 brands.

    EBAY is the best way for traders, sellers, and buyers to interact worldwide. It is more convenient for some more than others because sometimes the merchandise that you are looking for may be discontinued and or out of their area. Therefore, with EBAY most of the time you can go on their network and look for the item that you are unable to retrieve will be on there, but not only this, the product may be refurbished, used, or new. Although the products that may be out of stock or discontinued at one place, they are probably more on the website due to accessibility. Unlike most only merchandising, EBAY does not always charge you for shipping; the seller may just charge you for the item. EBAY is a good idea because even it you are just looking to dispose of a product and you know that it is in good use and you do not want to completely throw it away, you can vend it on EBAY where someone else may want it, and you will have made a buck at the same time. Another strength of EBAY is that you can bid on items and the final price may be lower than the original the original price that is an advantage. In the end EBAY will always be helpful due to the mass market that they have from clothing, electronics, and appliances/furniture.

Nike shows its consistency to provide new and trendy products to fulfill their customers needs. Nike makes sure that they constantly show the people what they have which also gets them to buy the products later on. The use of different athletes and celebrities entice the customers because they want to be like they athlete or celebrity and the finally gets them to buy the product.       I do agree with what you are saying about the success of the Nike business, but that is only because I am familiar with their products, but if I was not as familiar, you should explain in more depth about their process of things so that it is more clear to the reader about how your point is valid.
      Aja, you made it cleat that Nike does an excellent job with advertising, but you also stated that it is one of the best. Just because they have good advertising, what makes their advertising good and what do you define as good. Also, what makes Nike the best.     Nike is a well known and prestigious brand. They produce quality products that satisfy their customers. The demand is high for the goods they provide. Due to the fact they have such a large target market. They do a great job collaborating with Gatorade and Jordan as well as other brands and colleges.
