  1. Louis Vuitton (LV) is one of the top 100 brands in the world because it is protected in many ways. Its logo is copyrighted so nobody can steal it and claim it as their own. LV is also very fashionable. It fits peoples needs and wants that share the same lifestyle and attitude. LV is also distinctive and different from other brands. Most big named brands mostly advertise female products but Louis Vuitton has a wide variety of products for men and women. -Zacari Waller

They give customers and consumers the opportunity to buy a lot of new apparel. The sponsor many companies and sports teams. They also have a catchy slogan "Just Do It" which adds to them being a dominate brand.

I chose apple as my brand to defend in the top 100 brands in the woeld for 2010 because I chose apple as my brand to defend in the top 100 brands in the world for 2010 because they have a very strong impact on the world and mad an incredible leap from 17th place all the way to 8th place. Even though apple lost their CEO leader, Steve Jobs, they continue to make great sales to the young and the old in all corners of the world. Not only does apple have high sales but also they are coming up with ways to improve their relevance as they further help to accommodate all their customers with service and backup systems so consumers never have to worry about loosing their documents. This company also has a very strong presence in the technology industry as customers and consumers speak positively to one another about their apple products and that pulls more customers into the apple store so that they can experience a product for themselves. Besides that apple operates in a different country than America and is known for not treating their employees right I would not hesitate to say that apple is strong in all 10 principles of brand strength.they have avery strong impact on the world and mad an incredible leap from 17th place all the way to 8th place.     Nivea is one of the top ranked brands in 2010 because of the presence it has in its product’s competition. The product consistently delivers meeting its high expectations, and the customers have a loyalty towards its products. It targets a large market which allows the promotion to reach a larger market. The company also makes it a point to put an understanding of its product out. But since it is popular by this point, there is less advertising. Also, they have a number of legal protections, not only with there products but with there customers with privacy acts and terms of use. This helps them be trusted with there product.

Examples of this include Lebron James, Usain Bolt, and Yao Ming. By doing this, Nike is expanding their brand to reach a new variety of people. Now Nike is is known all around the world and people now associate them with success. Also contributing to Nike's success is their ability to offer a wide range of products to all ages. This helps in making Nike a one stop store. Nike has all the qualities of a top 100 business because they think globally.

  6. Google is a top 100 company because it is innovative. Employee’s love worker for google, as it is very employee friendly. Most employees don’t love their company. Like google’s do. Google even has workout facilities for their employees. They are also very creative. Google works to be different from everyone else in what they do. For example, they created android operating system to rival iOS. Google is also extremely popular. They’re the #1 search engine and attract have a large crowd that repeatedly uses them. Each of these are new ideas google brought with them, and this is why they are a top 100 company.

Their products continue to impress the world because their presence is unavoidable. Consumers are guaranteed satisfaction because the brand has come up with specifications that customers from all over the world can adapt to. The brand also marvels with its ability to continue to produce new products on a consistent basis. Apple has without a doubt proven they can create impressive products that advance technology as we know it.

  8. Adidas was ranked 60 in the 2011 top 100 brands with a great marketing spending number. Even though 60 is a very low ranking, Adidas had a great year of 2010 with sponsoring the World Cup and the winning team being sponsored by Adidas. Being sponsored by Adidas myself I have learned a lot about their sponsoring and promotional techniques. Adidas has gone all out these past two years with their new saying "Adidas is all in" with great athletes like David Beckham, Messi, Nani, Frank Lampard, Xavi, and many many more. Adidas has been licensed by The FIFA World Cup ever since the first world cup in 1950.

  9. Pepsi is in the yop 100 brands because it is part of our everyday life. They are so popular because, they are connected with most if not all sporting events. There logo is iconic and copyrighted, you can't go wrong with the classic taste of the drink and the design of their cans. They give back to others by hosting contest and giving money to charity. Pespi has yet to go out of style, and it probably won't ever go out of style.

  10. Samsung established itself as the leader in flat panel televisions. Samsung creates a variety of electronics. They make appliances like washing machines and refrigerators. They also make digital imaging products like cameras, and have many IT solutions. Samsung has rarely if ever failed with their products. They find problems in their competitors’ products and fix those problems making their product more than satisfactory. That is why they are in the top 100 brands.

  11. Amazon belongs in the top 100 because it is clearly a well known brand that has clarity in its brand. By the arrow animation we are given the impression that it is quick and professional but also inviting, because it makes out a smile. Not only does the brand give us a sense of professionalism and kindness but it also uses simple colors (orange and black) which are calming and not much of a variety making it a simple but understanding brand. It has good presence too because it is talked up quite a bit and doesn’t have that many faults. Plus the media talks very positively of both Amazon and it products.

    Coca-cola is rated the #1 branded product and I see no reason why it shouldn't be. In my opinion it tops the chart in both the Exterior and Interior categories. I think the most successful thing that Coca-Cola does is satisfy all of their customers. They provide sodas, fruit drinks like Snapple, and sports drinks such as Powerade. Coke, along with brands such as Nike or Apple also top the charts in product awareness. I guarantee you at least every person has had a Coca-Cola beverage at sometime in their life, unless they live under a rock. Coca-cola is one of the worlds best branded products and will continue to be for the rest of the company's existence.

  13. H&M is a world spread company that sells from their brand owned shoes to their clothing line. they 2,300 stores in 40 countries. H&M is one of the top 100 brands because they have their own products that support the brand like their clothing line that makes up for men and women. H&M still has products by them but new designers start making products for them but will be under their brand of clothing. They added more then 200 stores in the past year alone. The Swedish-based H&M is still in high demand but with the business making more and more new products each year they are able to keep and gain many customers to buy products from their brand.

    The brand I chose was the Internet service eBay because they went up 7 positions since last year by changing the target market and appealing to more people in there promotion. EBay has successfully changed there target market because the people who are buying online are not the same people who buy online 10 years ago. “It has successfully repositioned itself from its origins as an online marketplace to being an online local “high street”—with everything from stores to retail platforms to small businesses.” I believe a company has to be smart in there target market i believe that in future years that they will also target older people because that they would have grown up with the technology.. They have been expanding and growing in there customers and that is why eBay's in the top 100 brands.

  15. I believe that Audi is a top 100 company because of their strengths of internal factors as well as external factors, such as commitment. Their commitment to be the best luxury car company in the world is astounding because they use the newest and best technology in their cars, they always give their customers the best product out in the market now as they can. Their consistency of providing the safest and most reliable luxury car brand to their customers is outstanding because they have been in business building and designing and making their cars for over 100 years, and people like their cars so they are still in business after all that time. They take on big responsibilities to improve their cars with advanced technology and to keep their customers at the safest level while driving their cars, They test a new car design in over 500 tests and improve their design and performance to give their customers the best quality car out there.

This is the reason why this fast food joint has been able to reach so high, because most McDonald’s are owned by different people. They realized that attempting to build and operate all their stores would not work if they wanted to achieve domination over the fast food market stock; so the corporation allowed people to buy their name, and run their very own McDonald’s. Going outside of the box, and expanding upon Isaac Singer’s franchise idea, is the reason why McDonald’s is in the top 10 brands.

When “The Disney Channel” started becoming popular Disney responded with developing new shows, and creating theme parks. By developing new shows, Disney can appeal to all audiences and make the most profit. Also when children watch the shows and they love it, that’s a good opportunity to draw them in with theme parks.Disney is one of the top 100 brands in the world because of it’s ability to respond with expansion and development.

I do agree because you can find alot of things on Ebay for a very cheap price and for the most part of it actually working but some are knock offs on the main brand where I think that is one thing that will slow them down from expanding.

    Jack, I do agree that google deserves to be in in the top 100 branded companies. The android operating system did push them over the top, and they are a very innovative search engine. However, I disagree with the statement made about many employees not liking their company's. My main question for you, is how does google make themselves known throughout the world?

    I agree with you that LV is a good brand and deserves to be in the top 100 but I there are some ways that it could not fit. It creates products that are authentic and its brand is protected but the products that they come up with don't really change too much. They are pretty consistent with making changes to their products however the changes aren't extremely noticeable nor do they create a huge variety for consumers to choose from. I do agree though that it's well known and has a good presence.

    Response- I agree with you because i believe that amazon is a very efficient and good company, also it does look professional yet simple at the same time. But, Why is it important that the website be calming and inviting to customers with the use of simplicity? Is there any other factors amazon uses as well?

    I have to disagree. I and many of the people I know, do not partake in soda, so it is not part of our everyday lives. While it is true Pepsi has ties to sporting events, Coke has the majority. In fact Coke has a considerably higher market share than Pepsi, and is the number 1 brand. My question is, do you believe Pepsi will be run out by Coke?

    answer- nothing will stop them from being scammed possibly they may be able to find a cure but it will always be possible to get ripped off its just a risk you have to take.

    I agree with you about the Audi. Even though they have a great luxury car, could they have a safe mini van type vehicle.

    I believe they could but i don't know how that would sell because they are not known for those types of cars they make more or SUV's, Sedans, coupes and wagons. more sporty type cars but yes it is a possibility that they make a mini van

    McDonald’s is in the top 100 brands because they use the franchise concept, allowing others to partake in their company. Today, McDonald’s franchise network is the world’s leading food service retailer, with more than 30,000 franchise restaurants serving 52 million people in more than 100 countries.; of those stores, more than 70 percent are owned by independent operator franchisees. This is the reason why this fast food joint has been able to reach so high, because most McDonald’s are owned by different people. They realized that attempting to build and operate all their stores would not work if they wanted to achieve domination over the fast food market stock; so the corporation allowed people to buy their name, and run their very own McDonald’s. Going outside of the box, and expanding upon Isaac Singer’s franchise idea, is the reason why McDonald’s is in the top 10 brands.

    -The way McDonald's has gone outside the box is by using the franchise method. It was simply an idea before McDonald's truly expanded upon it,
    becoming the first franchise. Places before that ran from corporate down, not allowing individuals to open their own store under the brand name.

    i think that apple will still dominate because they have created a brand that is so well known by everyone everywhere and i think that other companies will try to create products that are better and more efficent but i think apple will be able to top their idea and keep their name alive.

    Coca-cola is rated the #1 branded product and I see no reason why it shouldn't be. In my opinion it tops the chart in both the Exterior and Interior categories. I think the most successful thing that Coca-Cola does is satisfy all of their customers. They provide sodas, fruit drinks like Snapple, and sports drinks such as Powerade. Coke, along with brands such as Nike or Apple also top the charts in product awareness. I guarantee you at least every person has had a Coca-Cola beverage at sometime in their life, unless they live under a rock.     Great Question Woody! Fortunately, since Coca-cola makes beverages, they do not have to adjust to many marketing changes because they are a cheaply priced product. Coca-cola does a great job responding to opportunities, they are the sponsor of many athletic events, and have products sold everywhere. Coca-cola is the leading beverage company in the world.

  50. dear zacari i forget to ask a question my b... how do you think LV deals with its protection when there are so many fake products of theirs that are sold for less or how does this hurt their brand?

    This hurts their brand because with fake LV being out in the world some people can't tell if the product is fake or not. With people unaware of the fake product, the money that is suppose to be going to the real LV is going to whoever is selling the fake product. Also, I'm pretty sure that LV sues the company that is selling the fake products.

  51. Disney is one of the top 100 brands from the having a great movie production to a awesome theme parks. Being promoted in the super bowl all the way to actors on their show just makes it easy for people see them all around the world. Disney’s companies have a great understanding of how to market to people. To me Disney is in the top ten of the top 100 means they know what they are doing. -Alexis Wagner

    I think the company wanted higher ratings also new people because Disney is very consistent about changing new people in the show to new watchers around the world for higher ratings.

Even though apple lost their CEO leader, Steve Jobs, they continue to make great sales to the young and the old in all corners of the world. Not only does apple have high sales but also they are coming up with ways to improve their relevance as they further help to accommodate all their customers with service and backup systems so consumers never have to worry about loosing their documents. This company also has a very strong presence in the technology industry as customers and consumers speak positively to one another about their apple products and that pulls more customers into the apple store so that they can experience a product for themselves. Besides that apple operates in a different country than America and is known for not treating their employees right I would not hesitate to say that apple is strong in all 10 principles of brand strength.they have avery strong impact on the world and mad an incredible leap from 17th place all the way to 8th place. But, Why is it important that the website be calming and inviting to customers with the use of simplicity? Is there any other factors amazon uses as well?

    -The site needs to have simple and calming branding because of the business it is involved in. It was originally meant to deal with customers who come to purchase books, therefore the simplicity and calming label fits the typical sense of what a reader wants.

    Disney is one of the top 100 brands in the world because of it’s responsiveness to their success. When “The Disney Channel” started becoming popular Disney responded with developing new shows, and creating theme parks. By developing new shows, Disney can appeal to all audiences and make the most profit. Also when children watch the shows and they love it, that’s a good opportunity to draw them in with theme parks.Disney is one of the top 100 brands in the world because of it’s ability to respond with expansion and development.

    -I agree that Disney reaches out to a large audience and that it has a great ability to respond to expansion and development, but I don't think it holds proper authenticity because it cant deliver high expectations. I don't think it can deliver high expectations because it only produces the same thing constantly. In what way could Disney meet the expectations of the people who have been subjected to its previous productions and parks?

    -Disney could meet the expectations of the people by, Coming up with new ideas like: Creating a tour that travels around the nation to the people instead of them traveling to one of the parks. Or create a camp to get the viewers involved in creating or improving new and old shows.

  55. I have to disagree. I and many of the people I know, do not partake in soda, so it is not part of our everyday lives. While it is true Pepsi has ties to sporting events, Coke has the majority. In fact Coke has a considerably higher market share than Pepsi, and is the number 1 brand. My question is, do you believe Pepsi will be run out by Coke?

    I don't think that will happen, i think that one day people won't care which one is on top and which is on the bottom of the spectum. i think that they be be closer together than where they are now.
